This drawing is part of our Artist Series, produced by Haris Hidayatullah. The work reflects on how development in Lahore has reshaped perception of the city. Infrastructure framed as progress—flyovers, underpasses, and large-scale interventions—has altered patterns of movement while sidelining older systems of green space, continuity, and heritage.

Rather than depicting a future city, the drawing recalls an earlier balance, when Lahore felt navigable, integrated, and lived-in, before abstraction replaced experience.
